Thread: fuel pump question

Question: When Im driving on the highway and i have about 1/4 of a tank left my car starts to stall... like if it was running out of gas... When I fill up the tank I get 9 gallons... so theres 2 gallons still inside the tank. When the car has 1/4 of a tank left but im driving in the city theres no problem, it only happens when Im in the highway... is it the fuel pump??

I changed the fuel pump today, and when I went to go turn on the car the car turned on perfectly but the fuel gauge lowered under the letter "E" and there was about 1/4 tank left... I reopened the gas tank to see if the thing had gotten stuck with any of the hoses and nothing... could it be that a fuse went out? and if it did were could i find this fuse?? thanks
